Spring Inspiration from Oh So Succulent

Announcements/ Classes / Events/ Die Cut/ Online Stamp Club/ Online Stamp Clubs

Hey stampers! JUST when I thought spring was here and started playing around with all my fun flower stamp sets and dies…cold and rain came back today. Oh well, I'm still in a spring mood so my clubs, both my local and online clubs will be doing “spring” focused projects.

My in person clubs will be making these tags for their block sets. We started these back in the fall when my Girls, INK tam had our annual Pampered Stamper events and our guests made 2 sets, Fall and Christmas. I continued on with a set for Valentines Day, done at my January clubs.

The blocks themselves are made from 2 x 4's cut into 5 1/2″ pieces, sanded, then spray painted black. You could even use chalk paint and then no sanding is necessary! The tag bases are all 4 7/8″ x 3″. You can use solid colors or Designer Series paper and then embellish as desired. The letters are all cut using the Large Letters Framelits (141712).

Now they aren't cheap mind you ($99.00) but once you have the set you'll be able to cut letters for cards, banners, home decor…anything!

Here are the cards for my online clubs:

Did you know you can be a part of my monthly online clubs no matter where in the U.S. you might live? Here's how it works:

Each month I set up a hostess code and publicize it in my monthly newsletter and here on the blog. If you don't get my newsletter, you might want to subscribe-just put your info into the big, coral circle above. I share different ideas and projects on my various social media sites so be sure you follow me on all of them so you don't miss anything!

This month's hostess code is: HVVV9R37. Place any order of at least $35 at my online store and you'll be in the club. You'll receive a PDF Tutorial with detailed measurements, supply list and instructions for each card. Later in the month (I usually mail out the kits around the 25th of each month), you'll receive a kit for each card in the mail, complete with all the cardstock, die-cut pieces, embellishments and envelopes. You can purchase the stamp sets and dies to create the cards exactly like mine, or use any stamps you like. This month's cards use the following stamp sets, dies and paper:

Oh So Succulent Photopolymer Bundle (145184-$48.50)
Timeless Textures Stamp Set (w-140514-$23.00, c-140517-$17.00)
Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set(w-141531-$$49-2 part set, c-141534-$37.00)
Birds and Blooms Thinlets Dies (141477-$27.00)

Hey stampers! I have such a fun project for you today. Your special Valentine would love to receive this Sealed with Love Frame “collage”. You might choose to make one for yourself to add to your holiday home décor. Why not grab a friend or two and work on these together…each person can prepare a few of the squares for each participant…lighten the load and share the fun! 🙂

As you can see in this project, my new favorite color combo for Valentine's Day projects is Real Red and Pool Party or Bermuda Bay. Of course, traditional colors like pink and red work great, too!

Emerald Envy… For Valentine’s Day?!

Big Shot/ Classes / Events/ Die Cut/ Holidays / Special Days

Hey stampers! Now I know, when you think about making Valentine's Day cards, red, pink and white usually come to mind, but not…GREEN!

I've got a whole new twist to show you today. My stamping team and a lot of customers were part of a big event here yesterday and I think you'll love two of our projects that show off Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron; two of Stampin' Up!'s shades of green. One of my favorite things to do is to use “non-standard” colors on “traditional” holidays for fun effects. I hope you enjoy a new idea for Valentine's Day. 🙂

You only use one 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) for both cards! That means you can get 96 cards out of one DSP Stack…talk about stretching your supplies!

Instructions and supply list follow. One note, although Stampin' Up! does not presently sell the little 3″ x 3″ envelopes, here are some alternatives:

  • Use an Envelope Punch Board to create your own, either out of neutral cardstock or out of matching DSP. You cannot mail these but this size of note card is perfect for a a note to be hand delivered. These would be perfect for classroom Valentines, just substitute the “Happy Valentine's Day” sentiment in the stamp set and have your child sign.
  • If I want to mail this size I create my “pretty envelope” with my Envelope Punch Board and then I put it inside of one of our clear envelopes to mail. These clear envelopes are only $5.00 for 50 envelopes!Depending upon your post office you could pay a little more in postage but I don't mind…my card recipients are worth a few additional cents!
  • If you want to just purchase a supply of envelopes, click here.

I'll be sharing more Valentine projects and tips throughout the week, so be sure to visit often!

Project instructions:

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set: Sealed with Love Bundle
  • Paper: Sending Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack, Real Red , Emerald Envy, and Whisper White Cardstock
  • Ink pads: Real Red, Mint Macaron
  • Miscellaneous: SNAIL Adhesive, Emerald Envy Bakers Twine, Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Sending Love Embellishments

Measurements

  • Sending Love DSP: 6″ x 6″ piece cut to 3″ x 3″
  • Whisper White layer on front: 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ (you can also put a layer this size inside of card)
  • Real Red scrap to die-cut arrow
  • Emerald Envy scrap to die-cut heart

Instructions:

first notecard:

  1. Cut two arrows using Big Shot and Real Red scrap
  2. Fold DSP in half
  3. Stamp “hello love” sentiment on Whisper White layer using Mint Macaron ink and attach to front of DSP card base.
  4. Attach arrow and bow with Fine-Tip Glue Pen

second notecard:

  1. Stamp I Love You sentiment with Real Red ink onto Whisper White layer.
  2. Stamp bold “swipe” using Mint Macaron ink and attach to DSP card base.
  3. Cut out heart with Big Shot using Emerald Envy scrap and attach to front with Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Sealed With Love

Classes / Events/ Holidays / Special Days/ Mojo Monday/ Sale-A-Bration

Oh my…have you had a chance to order Stampin' Up!'s new Sealed with Love Bundle from the Occasions Catalog? My in person and online clubs this month are doing projects using this sweet bundle!

In the first project, my club ladies made a set of six Valentine “tags” that go on a set of wood blocks. Throughout the year, we'll be making other sets, one for spring and a birthday set are the ones already in production. These blocks were a big hit! If you live in the north Dallas, Sachse, Wylie or Murphy area I'd love to start a club with you and your friends! Call or email me and we can see what might work.

The card projects are what my online clubs will be doing and it's easy for YOU to join in that fun! Simply place an order of at least $35 at my online store by January 12th using hostess code KZMZ27UU. You will receive a pdf with instructions and measurements to create these two projects. AND, on the 25th of the month, I will mail out, via priority mail, a card kit for each project that will have all the cardstock, embellishments, and die-cut pieces for you to complete the projects. Of course, you'll also receive envelopes for your cards. You are welcome to place any order you like but if you want to use the stamps I used, I'd suggest you order the Sealed with Love Stamp set or bundle that includes the Framelits at a 10% discount.

You will stamp your own projects on the cardstock I send in the kits. Other supplies I used are Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Mini Paper Clips, Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack, Glassine Sheets, Real Red 12 X 12 Cardstock. You can just click on any picture below to go right to my store to place your order. DON'T FORGET that if you place a $50 order, you get to choose a FREE item out of the Sale-A-Bration catalog!…and FREE is fabulous…right??

In case you haven't seen either the Occasions or Sale-A-Bration catalogs, CLICK HERE.

Sale-A-Bration is a great time to stock up on stamping basics like cardstock and adhesives, too.  If your order totals $150 (before tax and shipping)_ don't use the above hostess code-you'll get to use the hostess dollars and you'll still get the pdf's and card kits.

Thanks for popping in today and checking out my Sealed with Love projects. If you have any questions or need help with your order…just give me a shout!
