Fall is the Perfect Time for a Stampin’ Up! Swap

Classes / Events/ Holidays / Special Days/ Stamping/ Tips, Tricks, & Techniques

I think Fall is the perfect time for a Stampin' Up! Swap. Last night, some of my team members, customers and some other “crafty friends” got together for our monthly Swap Your Heart Out card exchange. This time our theme was cards with buttons. When we exchange cards, we make one for each participant. Here is my “haul”:

I love all of the fall themed cards and the variety. My card is the button ornament one at the bottom.

Now I have to confess something straight up…I am a button hoarder. My craft room is filled with buttons and I cannot possibly use them all in even two lifetimes. So when this month's swap hostess chose cards with buttons as her theme, my heart literally skipped a beat. WHAT? I'm going to have to part with some of my treasures? There were 12 ladies in the swap this time so I had to use SIXTY of my precious stash…GASP!

I'm happy to say I survived and still have plenty to use on new creations!

Thanks for popping in today and have a fabulous weekend!

Fall Inspiration With Colorful Seasons

Die Cut/ Holidays / Special Days/ Product Information/ Samples

Hello stampers! What a great weekend I had! The weather here in Texas was nice and I got to spend yesterday afternoon working on a Homecoming Mum. Now, I'm from California and we did not have anything remotely like this. A “mum” was a real flower mum and went into a small corsage on your wrist or dress.  I can't post a picture yet because we are keeping it a surprise from my grandson's girlfriend. Let me just say it is BIG! When I asked another mom who has made plenty of these if it is too big she said oh no; go BIG or go home! So, there you go, a learning opportunity! But, I digress, let's get back to the main reason for my post today. I want to share some fall inspiration with Colorful Seasons.

This stamp set is another one of my personal favorites in the Holiday Seasonal Catalog; the images and greetings are charming and offer cardmaking versatility for every occasion year round.

Notice on the card just above, some of the little pieces were poked out with a paper piercing tool and some of the pieces remained in the leaf. This gives a fun, unique look.

Merry Little Christmas Memories and More Card Pack

Holidays / Special Days/ Paper crafting

What a fun stamping event we had this weekend! Over 80 ladies gathered to make cards, gift tags and gift card holders. All of the projects used the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More Card Pack.  I think many just blow on past this section in the catalog thinking,  “I'm not a scrapbooker”. I wouldn't be interested in these packs.

This $10 little gem is NOT just for scrapbooking, as you can see from the picture below.

Merry Little Christmas Memories and More Card Pack

Memories and More Card Packs have two sizes of cards.  In addition, there are two of each card. The ladies at our event loved this so if they wanted to make two projects with the same card, they could! Also, if they wanted to use the front of one card and then also use the back, too they could do that as well.

Seriously, this is one of the best values in the catalog. And, there are several other Memories and More Card Packs for different occasions. See all of the choices here.

Watch this short video below. Carrie from the Home Office shows you a little bit more about the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More Card Pack.

If you do enjoy memory keeping (aka scrapbooking), the Memories and More suite of products also has albums and pocket pages. Additionally, these make great gifts for busy moms! You can see the entire line of Memories and More products at my online store, just a click away!

Thanks for popping in today!

12 Weeks Of Halloween – Week Seven – Hometown Halloween

Die Cut/ Holidays / Special Days/ Paper crafting

12 Weeks Of Halloween – Week Seven – Hometown Halloween. Purple is my favorite color and I've always thought purple is a great “add-in” for Halloween themed cards. The gold on this card adds just enough “bling”.

12 Weeks Of Halloween - Week Seven - Hometown Halloween

The black neighborhood scene on this card is done with the Hometown Greetings Edgelits. These versatile dies can also be used on Christmas cards so that makes them a “more for your money” type of product! 🙂

12 Weeks Of Halloween - Week Seven - Hometown Halloween

I think this would also be perfect for making a “welcome to the neighborhood” card; I'll have to try that next!
