Hey stampers! We made it to Barcelona. Our flights along the way were fabulous, especially the one “across the pond”! The Business Class “pods” allowed us both to sleep, so we arrived at our final destination refreshed and ready to go. Five minutes after taking the elevator up to our Airbnb the power went out. No flashlights in sight so we headed up the hill to try to find one. Success! We found 2. Made contact with our Airbnb host, he contacted the power company and within a couple of hours all was well.
We journeyed down to a local tapas restaurant and had a lovely assortment of local favorites. We had grown to love this place last year when we stayed a few extra days in Barcelona after our Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip, a Mediterranean Cruise. We might just head out to it again tonight!
Today we joined several others for a “foodie” tour around the Gracia District. We are actually staying in Gracia, but it encompasses a much larger area. We had chosen a “Devour Barcelona” tour and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide, Misty, came to Barcelona 4 years ago from Ireland, and loved it so much she stayed. She was a fabulous guide and we learned so much. We had about 9 different stops and we ate in all of them! 🙂 Here are a few of the places.
When I get home I'm going to contact Stampin' Up! to see if opening in Spain might be on their radar!
