Butterfly Punch and Envelope Liner

My friend and Girls, INK member,  Debbie  Johnson, has been on a butterfly kick lately and has been burning up my phone text messaging me her creations. She gets lonely when I don't send her back any of my samples  so how could I disappoint? Here's one I just sent to her.

This simple card uses The Elegant Butterfly Punch (127526). When I am punching, especially if I want my punched images to line up perfectly, I always turn my punch over to punch so that I can see what I'm doing.

I used the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (132184)…yes, I also find that rather humorous…SWEATER WEATHER in Dallas…NOT!!! But, it will be here soon! I put a piece of the “soft sky” patterned piece behind my 2 butterflies and then punched one butterfly out of the Tangerine Tango solid color piece.

I don't know about you, but I tend to gravitate to the same colors when crafting. With Stampin' Up!'s DSP I find it much easier to broaden my color horizons because they've done the color matching work for me! I do still rely on my Color Coach, too;  and when I'm feeling really adventurous, I come up with my own color schemes! 🙂

You'll notice I used the Envelope Liners Framelits Die (132172)  to coordinate my card and envelope. If you didn't see the short video I posted earlier in the week, check it out. You'll definitely want to add this little tool to your Wish List.
