Tutti Frutti Purse is Perfect for Graduation Gifts

Big Shot/ Die Cut/ Holidays / Special Days

Greetings Stampers and Happy Friday Eve! Around our office, everyone loves Thursdays ALMOST as much as Fridays. Today's project, Tutti Frutti Purse is perfect for graduation gifts! No matter if elementary school, junior high, high school, or college graduations are on your calendar, this little gem filled with folded up “bills” will be a big hit! You can crank them out so easily.

Change up the project to be a messenger bag or backpack to make it more gender neutral. Although, my husband has been known to carry my purse at times on vacation. He might go for one of these, especially if it is filled with money! 🙂

Stamping Cruise Coming in 2019

Announcements/ Holidays / Special Days/ Stamping

Hey Stampers! Hope you all had fun celebrating Mother's Day with your favorite, mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, mother in law, well you get the idea! I had my kids and grandcherubs together for a swim party and we all had a blast! Today's exciting news is….I am excited to announce a stamping cruise coming in 2019!

Stamping Cruise Coming in 2019

My travel agent and fellow stamper extraordinaire is busily getting the cruise booked on the awesome Royal Caribbean, Liberty of the Seas. We've narrowed our sailing down to late September or early October; depends upon when the conference room is available on board. We'll be leaving Galveston, headed to the Caribbean,  for 7 fun-filled days of sightseeing in ports AND stamping on our sea days. More details to come but wanted you to be able to tentatively plan on joining us!

We'll be featuring lots of exclusive stamping projects using NEW products from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. As part of your cruise fee, you will also receive a box of products to bring with you for the projects and all will be yours to keep. Pillow gifts and raffles will be part of the package as well!!

Leave me a comment below or email me if this sounds like fun; I'll put you on our notification list when the details are set. Quite a few of my customers and downline have already expressed interest!

The Stampin’ Up! Retired Product List – Don’t Wait!

Announcements/ Classes / Events/ Holidays / Special Days

Hi All,

Dave here…  Anne asked me if I would handle the Retired Product List today.

This is THE list of all of the Stampin'Up! products that will be “retiring” and going away forever!  Naturally, as Stampin'Up! cleans house to make room for new products, there are going to be a buncha' things that ‘we' all like on that list, right?  😉

This is the time to grab them
before they're gone!

The Stampin' Up! Retired Product List - Don't Wait!

I understand that the first things to go will be anything InColor. Any InColor papers, DSP, ribbon, other embellishments, will be on the list and go fast. Be sure to look at the list as soon as you can. If you have some favorites, grab them early! (Unfortunately, some people buy up bunches of them and then sell them at MUCH higher prices on EBay so don't wait!)

Here is the list. We have it either as a PDF, or as a ‘sortable' Excel file! (The sortable Excel file would be my choice, but I'm kind of an Excel geek! LOL!) Here you go…

Best Regards,
Dave

Please contact Anne if there is anything we can do to help you with the retiring list.

On This Day In History…Dyngus Day!

Announcements/ Classes / Events/ Holidays / Special Days

Hey Stampers! Did You Know Today is Dyngus Day? Did you even know there WAS a Dyngus Day? I sure didn't until today. My Stampin' Up! business coach records a message for me every Monday morning. He gives me highlights of special days in the upcoming week. This week kicked off with…you guessed it, Dyngus Day!

Dyngus Day, also spelled Dingus, is a fun Polish Holiday. It is very popular in Poland, and in Polish communities all across the United States. After the long Lenten holiday, Dyngus Day is a day of just plain fun.  It is always celebrated on the Monday after Easter.  Polka music is a tradition on Dyngus Day and it is often mandatory for participants to dance at least once.

Perhaps the most well-known Dyngus Day tradition is that in which single boys try to splash water on single girls as an expression of interest.  This tradition dates back to the baptism of Prince Mieszko I on Easter Monday in 966 A.D. The water symbolized purification. The rite of sprinkling water on the holiday is an expression of gratefulness that the first Polish king was baptized, and that Catholicism entered Poland. Participants use buckets or, in modern day, squirt guns. Some boys use cologne instead of water.

Lest you think the boys have all the fun, single girls can reciprocate or “retaliate” on Tuesday by throwing dishes and crockery at the boys. What a hoot!

I really enjoy finding out about traditions all over the world and I hope you got a bit of fun out of today's share, too!

Oh, one bit of stamping news to share, too. Mark your calendar for April 9. This is the day the list of retiring Stampin' Up! products comes out. The new annual catalog makes its debut on June 1, so lots of products are “retired” to make way for new stuff. Stay tuned!

Happy Easter!

Holidays / Special Days

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful day with family and friends! We surely had a happy Easter celebrating at church and then having the traditional egg hunt in our backyard. Since the kiddos are older now, I filled the eggs with money. Even the teenagers couldn't wait to get out there…lol!

I wanted to share the most beautiful Easter card I received this year. My customer Mary made this and it truly was a labor of love. It definitely will be staying up way past today!

Happy Easter!

It's a little hard to see but it is a pop-up card with five different moving parts. The silver embossed cross Is from the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies.

Happy Easter!
