Sale-A-Bration/ Stampin' Blends

Hey Stampers! I just had to take a break from working on taxes so what do I do? I stamp, of course! I wanted to use my Stampin' Blends markers to see how they work with the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can still get this paper as a free item for the next few weeks during Sale-A-Bration. It was perfect for my You Are Loved Saturday Share.

You Are Loved Saturday Share

I colored in one of the foil flowers using my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends and then used the Old Olive Blends to finish it off. I used the light Pumpkin Pie marker first, then came back in on a couple of petals with the dark and went over again with the light to create the marbled look on the flower.  I did the same thing on  the leaves, using the Old Olive Blends.

I did “fussy cut” this flower. Another idea would be to cut out as a square, and mount on a slightly larger piece of coordinating cardstock. The greeting is from another free Sale-A-Bration set, Blossoming Basket. You can get this stamp set plus the Basket Weave Embossing Folder as a free  bundle with a $100 purchase. If you're in a shopping mood, I'd love for you to shop at my online store! 🙂

I usually use my Blends markers on Whisper White or Shimmer White paper but I was happy with this result, too. It's always fun to experiment, right?

Happy Friday Stampers! I hope you finished your week with a Magical Day! I had kind of a yucky week but it finished off so great today! I'm doing a presentation at our Stampin' Up! April OnStage event. I had my phone rehearsal today with the person in charge at SU and she gave me such positive feedback. I am so pumped to have been chosen for this and I will be sharing everything here on my blog in April.  We have a strict “sneak peek” policy so I have to wait until after the event to share. Stay tuned!

Retiring Stampin’ Up! 2016-2018 InColor Collection

Announcements/ Sale-A-Bration

Hello Stampers! This week has flown by…it's already Friday Eve! Everyone in my office had bigger smiles near the end of today! I want you to have smiles, too when you make sure to order items in the  Retiring 2016-2018 InColor Collection before they retire… don't wait! Are you totally in love with Dapper Denim or Emerald Envy? Maybe Peekaboo Peach floats your boat. Maybe Flirty Flamingo or Sweet Sugarplum?

Retiring Stampin' Up! 2016-2018 InColor Collection

You might wonder why I'm bringing this up now, since these colors will “technically” be available through the end of May? Here's why. EVERY year items in the retiring InColors seem to disappear first among all the retiring items in our annual catalog, especially the ink refills.  Once they become unavailable, you won't be able to get them.

Oh wait…you can always go to Ebay and pay $50 for one bottle. Yes, you heard me correctly. Some less than scrupulous shoppers snatch up more than they need and then prey on unfortunate ones who didn't get them ordered before the supply was exhausted. Don't let this be you! I'm all for capitalism but gouging people is not okay.

How do you avoid missing out on ink, paper, refills, and/or markers? ORDER NOW. You can also still get free Sale-A-Bration items, so it's a win-win!

I'll be ordering ink refills for my pads, too. I love these colors!! 🙂

March is National Craft Month!

Hey stampers! I guess there is a month for everything, you know, like July is Lasagna Awareness Month… who knew? So this month here on my blog we'll be celebrating “March is National Craft Month” for 31 days! According to the Craft & Hobby Association (now known as Association for Creative Industries), March really IS the month of crafting!

Now, as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator of course I don't restrict my crafting to just one month and I don't know too many of my customers who do either…lol! But, just to have a little extra fun this month, I'll have projects to inspire you, a contest or two, some freebies, and other fun stuff…each and every day!  Make it a point during each day to stop by so you don't miss anything!

Today's project is a simple, fun card that makes it easy to create a stack of birthday cards so you'll be ready to add a personalized greeting, postage stamp and send a card out to family and friends.
