Green With Envy – Shaded Spruce

Customer Q & A/ Stamping

Hey Stampers! I have to confess; I'm not all here today. Only ONE more sleep and we'll be off on our Alaskan Adventure. I think Stamp Slave Dave just might be more excited than I am and that's pretty excited! 🙂 Before leaving, I wanted to share one more “green” post today, Green With Envy – Shaded Spruce. This new color joined the Regals family with our recent color revamp, joining old favorites Old Olive and Garden Green. The vellum piece over the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper adds just a little sumthin' sumthin' to this card. Sometimes just a subtle addition is better than over the top embellishments.

Green With Envy - Shaded Spruce

If you've missed seeing all the details for the recent color revamp, I've provided a printable PDF for your reference.

Green With Envy – Mossy Meadow Round Two!

Stamping/ Tips, Tricks, & Techniques

Hey Stampers! Today's project is a “Christmas in July” sample. I told you Mossy Meadow is one of my favorite new Stampin' Up! green colors so today I have Green With Envy – Mossy Meadow Round Two! As shown in today's project, when you “off stamp” you get a different shade of the original color.

Green With Envy - Mossy Meadow Round Two!

This technique really adds dimension to the card. Try this with different ink colors and you'll be amazed at the versatility of the results. It's like having three ink pads in one!

Here are the supplies, cutting dimensions and instructions.

Supplies:

  • Stamp SetsSnowflake Sentiments (144820); Lovely As A Tree (127793)
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla Cardstock (101650); Early Espresso Cardstock (119686)
  • Stamp Pads – Mossy Meadow Ink (147111); Balmy Blue Ink (147105); Early Espresso Ink (147114)
  • Misc. –Snail Adhesive (104332); Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897); Sponge Dauber (133773)

Measurements:

  • Card Stock 1:      8.5” x 5.5”                              Card Base
  • Card Stock 2:     4” x 5.25”                               Very Vanilla Card Front

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Early Espresso card stock in half creating your card base.
  2. Stamp the tree on your Very Vanilla card front so that the trees closest to you are stamped in full strength after inking and the trees further away are stamped again without reinking your stamp.
  3. Then using your sponge dauber and Balmy Blue ink, very lightly ink the top ¾ of card front, creating a sky effect.
  4. Then using your Wink of Stella brush, add glitter to the fully stamped trees to give the effect of glistening snow or ice. Also dab the brush randomly in the sky for snow flakes and sweep across the ground for snow.
  5. After the glitter has had a few moments to dry, stamp your sentiment in the top corner.
  6. Finally, adhere your card front to your card base.

If you missed yesterday's project, you can see it here.

Today’s Color Combo is Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black

Paper crafting/ Stamping

Happy Friday Stampers! Hope everyone had a great week and are looking forward to some fun weekend days! I know I sure am. I am lucky to be able to wear jeans to work, and I am a little or no makeup kind of a girl. But, I sure do love one of the new Stampin' Up! Colors, Lovely Lipstick. I wonder if I could use a q-tip and reinker and USE it for lipstick…NOT! Anyhoo, today's color combo is Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black. For some reason, I've always thought pinks and blues look fabulous on cards with just a pop of black!

Cruising and Crafting Girls, INK Style!

Announcements/ Classes / Events/ Stamping

Happy Friday Stamping Peeps! I'm looking forward to the weekend and spending time with all the fabulous dads in my life! Hope you have some fun plans as well! Speaking of fun plans, I wanted to share some info today on Cruising and Crafting Girls, INK Style!

Cruising and Crafting Girls, INK Style!

My team and customers love to stamp and we LOVE to cruise! SO…we decided to take a leap, get a travel agent, and plan a stamping “adventure” in 2019! Can't you just imagine yourself walking this beautiful beach?! I sure can!

We'll be setting sail on August 25, 2019 from Galveston, TX aboard the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. In addition to Galveston, our ports include Fallmouth, Jamaica, George Town, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. On our three “sea days” we'll be stamping using the latest Stampin' Up! products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. Of course, a Girls, INK event wouldn't be complete without door prizes and gifts, too! Did I already mention food, lol? All our events include fabulous food and I think Royal Caribbean just “might” be able to take care of that for us! 🙂

I have a team member coming from Maryland and customers from cities all over. We would love to have you join us!

Take a look at the flyer below and then give me a shout if you have any questions at all. A small, minimum deposit is required to book your cabin and balance does not have to be paid until May 2019.
