Only about 33 hours left to get orders in before I have to cut them off tomorrow night. Anne is back on Sunday and I want to get everything wrapped up before she gets back.
Speaking of St. George, I talked to Anne earlier today and she's having some trouble believing all of the things SU is doing for the group. She's having a ball and when she gets back with her pictures and her notes, we'll pass along all the stuff she's learning.
St. George, Utah is sort of the gateway to Zion National Park. If you've never been, it is simply spectacular!! Almost 35 years ago, Anne and I stopped there for a day. We were on our honeymoon and driving to the Grand Canyon from San Francisco. We had a 1968 Dodge Van which I had converted into a camper and named, "Bug", because of the headlights. (Looked almost exactly like this one…)
We camped on the South Rim for almost a week. Rode the mules and did some great hiking. (Just another couple of hippies, I guess!) Bug was a great old truck. Got us from San Francisco to the Grand Canyon and back with narry a problem. The engine sat in a big box between the two front seats and it had a manual transmission. When Josh was born about five years later, I took his car seat and mounted it on top of that engine box and he rode around in there like the King of Siam, (much to Sparky's dismay. That had been Sparky's perch before the little rug-rat came along and displaced him! He sulked a while. Ever see a German Shepherd sulk??)
OK, enough nostalgia for now. Don't forget the special… As they say, order early and order often! LOL!
We so appreciate all of you.
Thanks for being our customers.
