Double Embossing Technique Using Dragonfly Dreams Thinlits

Hey stampers! Today I want to share a card featuring the Double Embossing Technique Using Dragonfly Dreams Thinlits. Say that five times fast!

I really should call this Triple Embossing because of the “HAPPY” dry embossing on the top of the card. I did this using the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

These two little gems add some quick texture and definition to your projects.

My multi-colored dragonfly is where I used double embossing. Let me tell you the steps.

First, I cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock to 3″ x 4″. I then traced around the solid dragonfly image. Next, I used Sponge Daubers to apply 5 colors of ink around the image. Last I cut out the traced image using the detailed thinlit.

Finally, take a Versamark Pad and rub over the die-cut image, coat with Dazzling Diamonds Embossing Powder and heat. Do this a second time. You will have a beautiful double-embossed image!

Visit my You Tube Channel to see a step by step video for this fun technique.

These thinlits have a coordinating stamp set that gives you even more options for your papercrafting.

I also have a Video Class Tutorial available, complete with a color PDF. You'll learn how to make these three projects and a variety of new techniques.

Thanks for popping by today; I hope you learned something new!
