My last stamp club of the month meets tomorrow and I wanted to have them make a quick gift card holder for one of the projects. My friend Tracy, who is also a stampin up demo, had sent me a cute gift card holder that she had seen somewhere. I changed up the paper and ribbon and this is what I came up with. Earlier in the month I made a couple of gift card holders using my big shot die cut machine but for Monday's club I wanted something anyone could re-create, even if they did not own the Big Shot.
To make this card holder, use any of our medium envelopes and fold it in half. I used a bone folder to get a good crease on the fold. Unfold the envelope and cut the flap in half; this will create a pocket for the gift card. I used Deck The Halls Designer Series Paper and Peaceful Season (this has been one of my favorite stamp sets to use for my club and class projects this year). Decorate using your favorite paper, embellishments, and stamping techniques.
This project is so quick and easy you'll want to create several; a great idea for teacher gifts!
