My fabulous team, Girls, Ink. and our awesome customers spent the day yesterday creating fun Fall and Christmas Projects at our Holiday Magic event. One of the most popular stations was where everyone got to make a paper rosette using our new Simply Scored Tool.
The rosettes on the wreath look very labor-intensive, but they are fairly easy to create if you have the right tools (our Simply Scored is awesome!) and know a few handy tricks.
If you are going to be creating multiple rosettes, score your entire sheet of paper first and then cut strips the size you need. To make your paper easier to fold, score every other line you need, flip your paper over, and then score the lines in between the ones you scored first. After you have scored, attach the ends of the paper to make a circle (hint:one end fold should be a "mountain" fold and the other should be a "valley" fold, so the sequence of valley and mountain folds won't be thrown off once the ends are connected. Use a strong adhesive (Mono Multipurpse Adhesive works great) to hold the rosette together. You can either put the adhesive directly onto your project, or put the adhesive on a small, punched circle and adhere the rosette to the circle.
Please feel free to email me if you need any help creating your rosette wreaths.
Look for information coming soon about our next Girls, Ink. event. We are planning a Stamp A Stack after the holidays where you will be able to stamp a selection of All Occasion handmade cards.
