Flashing?

NO…not “that” kind! I’m already deep into Christmas projects and who knew that plain ‘ol flashing from the hardware store could make such a beautiful ornament?

Silver bird

I used the lightest weight I could find (it comes on a roll and is less than $10). The die is Elegant Bird Bigz (125593-$21.95). After I cut out the bird using my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, I ran it through again using my Vintage Wallpaper Textured Embossing Folder.

I stamped “Tidings of Comfort and Joy” image from Word Play Stamp Set onto Silver Glimmer Paper (using Jet Black StazOn Ink), and punched out using large, oval punch. The eye of the dove is a Basic Rhinestone Jewel, colored with a black permanent marker.

Stay tuned for more fun projects. I have a Christmas “tag” pdf class that is coming soon (complete with color photos, measurements and detailed instructions) to my online Facebook store. For you local crafters, I’ll be offering a hands-on class where you can come and make all 16 tags…it’s going to be great! Be sure you are a subscriber to my newsletter (just click on the left sidebar and then when you get a confirming message back from AWeber, be sure to open that message-we don’t want to spam people, so that’s why we use a service to confirm subscriptions)! Current subscribers get early notice of all my classes and events.

Happy stamping!
