We made this simple card during my April stamp clubs and I wanted to post here to share the technique and give you some quick instructions.
Have you ever wanted to use just part of an image on one of your stamps? (Of course, you can always use our Stampin' Write markers to just color that part.) But, if you don't have the markers, you can also use a sponge dauber and an ink pad.
To create this card, I wanted to use just one of the trees. I inked up my sponge dauber in Kiwi Kiss and then tapped all over the middle tree. I then stamped it the first time on my Whisper White Card stock. I then stamped again without re-inking and this created a "shading" effect and makes the trees almost
look three dimensional.
My customers also have lots of "ribbon remnants" and I showed them how
to use a 3 inch piece of leftover ribbon to tie a simple knot and
attach to the card, creating a simple yet eye-catching embellishment.
