July 4th is one of my favorite holidays…and NOT just because I get a day off from my “other” job…lol. I feel so blessed to live in the United States of America and am so thankful for everything I have, inlcuding many wonderful customers and demo friends.
I created this card to try something a little different from my “normal” July 4th cards.
I punched the owl out of a piece from the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper (129310). This pack uses Island Indigo which worked perfectly for the “blue” in my red, white and blue color scheme. The eyes on the owl are Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels (129324), colored in with a black Sharpie marker.
The pinwheel is made using a small piece of Real Red Polka Dot paper from the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper stack (126902).
Wonder how I did the brad? We don't have a Glimmer Brad in Island Indigo so I took one from the Brights (121008) collection, sanded it with my Stampin Sanding Block (129357) and colored with my Island Indigo marker.
