Got Birthdays?

I don't know about you, but I've got a lot of friends and family members who have birthdays at the beginning of the year, creating many opportunities to create some fun handmade cards. This week I'll be featuring some of my favorites that I created on a recent retreat with some of my Stampin' Up Demo buddies and our dear friend Tami.

When I created this card I wanted to use up some of my Sweet Pea felt flowers that I had leftover from last year, but also use a few of our current catalog item, Basic Pearls (119247). I had a limited amount of card stock with me at the retreat, so I used our Color Coach (121620) to come up with a color scheme (So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, and Marina Mist) that used colors that I had on hand. If you struggle with coming up with new color combos and find yourself sticking to the same old, same old, you've got to try this new product). Of course, I had to use a button "somewhere" on the card since buttons are my favorite embellishment after all!

I'm sure some of you might like to have a supply of your own birthday cards so save the date of Friday, February 11, at 6:30 when I'll be having a birthday card stamp a stack type class. We'll be using our Big Shot die cut machine for some of the cards and Dave, The Stamp Slave, will have a class description and signup box on the blog later this week. Even if you are new to rubber stamping, you'll enjoy this class!
