Hard to believe another year has come and gone. When I was a teenager my mother used to tell me not to wish time away and I never really grasped what she meant. I think I know now…we need to enjoy and be thankful for each season of our life!
Did you know that January is National Thank You month, National Blood Donor Month and National Soup Month? I don't know who comes up with these but hey, gives me a chance to share a Thank You card and a new technique…flash card. I have been showing this in all my monthly clubs and every one just loves it. BIG thanks to my friend Connie Stewart for sharing this….it is SO simple, yet SO fabulous! I met Connie when we were both first-time attenders to Founders Circle, one of our Stampin' Up! reward trips. We've kept in touch and I'm really looking forward to seeing her in April, when we get to go to Fiji, courtesy of Stampin' Up!
Today I'll show you the Thank You card I made using this great technique. On Thursday I'll give you an in-depth look at this a time-saving way to prepare for your card making.
The main color in this card is Cherry Cobbler, from the Rich Regals Color Palette. I used this color for many of my Christmas projects and it will also be featured in several of my Valentine's Day projects.
The focal point flower was created using Floral Frames Framelits (127012). Each part of the flower was cut from one of the layers and then mounted onto another layer so you don't see the cutout. This is the beauty of the "flash card" concept.
See you tomorrow where I'll share more details!
