How do you like your chicken?

So how DO you like your chicken? Are you a deep fried lover or perhaps you lean towards the healthier side and go for grilled or roasted? Today is National FRIED Chicken Day so I thought I'd have a little fun and see which gets the most votes.

Of course, the 4th of July weekend is filled with all sorts of eating opportunities.  I'm sure barbeques all over America were quite busy grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, brats, and maybe even some vegetables for those with healthier tastes.

But, did you know there are so many “National (insert food name) Day in the month of July? July 7th is National Chocolate Day and National Macaroni Day. July 8th is National Ice Cream Day. July 9th is National Sugar Cookie Day, and the list goes on and on. Who actually comes up with these?

Well, I did a bit of research and found that the President signs a joint House and Senate Resolution into law, formally declaring the holiday into law. AND, even without the approval of Congress, the President can actually proclaim a food holiday whenever he desires. SO, if you thought all the President did was command wars, meet with foreign leaders and dignitaries and have Easter Egg hunts on the White House lawn, think again!😁

Now that I've got you thinking about food holidays and chickens, here's a free tutorial that features the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set and coordinating Dies.  Some of the products are retired,  but you can change up the colors and still use the idea. Enjoy!
