Here are the instructions for Mini Brag Book (you can see pictures on Monday, June 10th's post) I promised. This comes together very quickly and has so many fun uses; here are a few:
- add a few pictures and journaling to record memories from a fun event
- make an autograph book for kids to take to summer camp
- fill with favorite Scripture and give to a friend who needs encouragement
- ??? – leave me a comment with your ideas!
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Embellished Events (131984-W, 126497-C)
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar Classic Stampin’ Pad (131174)
Paper: Whisper White Card Stock (100730), 2013-2015 In Color Paper Stack (130136) and solid card stock to match whichever color you choose.
Tools & Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Top Note Bigz Die (113463), Hung Up Cute Clips (129389), Artisan Label Punch (130920), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Sponges (101610) binder rings, chipboard, hole punch or Crop-A-Dile
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Using the Top Note Die and the Big Shot:
a. Cut a front and back cover for the brag book out of chipboard (the back piece in a DSP pack works well)
b. Cut a designer series paper (DSP) cover for the front and back
c. Cut the inside pages (4-6 work well) with Whisper White card stock
2. Adhere the DSP to the front and back cover of the brag book chipboard using liquid glue. Adhere the coordinating solid color to other side of each cover. Sponge edges if desired.
3. Stamp the sentiment of your choice (I used “celebrate” with Baked Brown ink onto a piece of the DSP used for cover). Punch out with the Artisan Label punch. Cut a small piece of matching Ruffled Ribbon and adhere to the sentiment piece using SNAIL adhesive. Choose a mini clip and slide onto this piece. Adhere to front cover with 2 Dimensionals. (You can also stamp your greeting onto Whisper White card stock, punch out with the Artisan Label punch, and then punch a piece of DSP with the decorative Label punch and cut in half. Adhere each half to the back of the stamped white piece for a little different look).
4.Using a large hold punch or Crop-A-Dile, punch two holes through the front & back cover, as well as the inside pages and hold together with binder. You can decorate the rings with ribbon or just leave plain.
Extra “finishing” ideas:
I created pockets for 2 of the inside pages by using Top Note Die and a 5” x 4” piece of coordinating DSP. Cut the Tope Note piece in half and glue to the white page to form a pocket. I then used a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock, cut to 3 ¼” x 2” and corner rounded the edges. Then use SNAIL to adhere a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 3 1/8” x 1 7/8” with edges corner-rounded. Use a stapler to attach a small piece of coordinating ruffled ribbon. This can be a journaling tag.
I used the “Remember This and That Rotary Stamp” (130133) to add some fun touches to the inside pages.
Any questions just give me shout!
