I seem to have a new favorite Sizzix BIGZ L Box Die every week; this week it is the Milk Carton for sure! Not only does it make the cutest milk carton boxes but when you cut out and put two of them together, you get another adorable box. Yesterday I posted a pink Halloween box. Today, so as not to leave out those of you who like traditional Halloween colors, here is another one.
Oh, here is a tip that will save you paper when you make these boxes. Every tutorial I have found says “cut out 2 milk carton boxes and then cut off one panel from each box”. (the one opposite the end with the tab). So, I got to thinking… if you are cutting it off, why not place your paper so you just cut out the box without that panel? It works beautifully so you can use a 5 1/2 ” x 5 1/2″ piece of paper, getting 2 boxes out of each piece of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
The DSP I used for this box is FIrst Edition and the bat on top is made with the Extra Large Owl Punch and the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch.
