Many of you will be having family over for Memorial Day gatherings today, so here are a few tips (courtesy of Martha S's website!) for you to consider when snapping those photos. If you're not taking any pics today, bookmark this for later use on Fourth of July or summer birthday parties!
-Wear solid colors, which complement each other but don't match exactly.
-For more of an impact, shoot close-ups.
-For the most flattering lighting, shoot in the early morning or at sunset.
-Position subjects against a clear, uncluttered background.
-For a timeless look, experiment with black-and-white and sepia-toned prints.
-When photographing children and pets, enlist a helper to make distractions or keep their attention.
