Good Sunday evening Stampers! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I sure did. Had a wonderful card class on Saturday and the hostess received over $168 in free Stampin' Up! products; she was quite happy! One of our projects was a really cool star card that stands up. I just recreated this on a Facebook LIVE session where I made a Stand Up Star Card Using Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.
At my class the ladies thought this was going to be so difficult to make; but, it is actually so easy!
I used Peekabo Peach for the base. This is one of the 2018-2018 retiring In Colors. If you just love any of the colors in that collection, I encourage you to go ahead and stock up on cardstock and ink refills; I'll guarantee you they will disappear once the retiring product list appears in April. The envelope paper I used is actually a sheet from an old retired package but I just wanted to show you that the card easily fits inside.
Click here to see my Facebook video and I have the measurements below.
MEASUREMENTS:
One piece of any color of solid cardstock cut to 5″ x 6″ and scored down the middle (at 3″); this will form the card base that will stand up. You will cut off each side to create 2 triangles (I explain this in the video).
One piece of Designer Series Paper cut to 4 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ and then cut in half. 2 of these will be adhered to the base and the other two pieces will be adhered to the smaller triangle pieces.
