Color Times Three Challenge Starts Now!

Announcements/ Contests/ Paper crafting

I'm back from annual Convention and excited to tell you about a new monthly feature I'll be doing here on the blog….Color Times Three Challenge!

I'd like to invite you to participate, starting right now!  Here's how it will work.

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, I'll post a Color Times Three Challenge. I'll give you three Stampin' Up! colors that might not be your “go to” colors. Your “challenge” will be to create a card using only those three colors (you can stamp onto Whisper White or Very Vanilla) and email to me by the 4th Tuesday of the following month (August 26).  Simple or elaborate…your choice; but only those three colors can be used!!

The Stamp Slave and I will choose each monthly winner, notify them and they will have their artwork published here on my blog. They will also get to choose the Color Times Three Challenge “colors” for the next month (will be announced on Wednesday, August 27).

Okay…drum roll please….this month's colors are…..0714 Color Times Three Challenge Colors

  1. Crushed Curry
  2. Mossy Meadow
  3. Blackberry Bliss

I can't wait to see your creativity!

Big Shot For Baby!

Big Shot/ Classes / Events/ Scrapbook/ Stamping

Just had to share some weekend projects! Friday night I got together with several friends for our Friday Frolic. We all get together every couple of months and work on our unfinished scrapbooking, handmade cards, or other projects.  I bring a lot of my stamp sets and help everyone with scrapbooking techniques. Andrea caters dinner and snacks for us…and let me tell you, her food is fabulous!

I was working on a couple of workshop projects and wanted to use my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. One of the guests for my workshop is pregnant and the hostess wanted to have some baby shower favor samples. My friends and I put our heads together and here is what we came up with…don't you think they are just adorable! Thanks to Denise, Trudi, Andrea, Georgia and Noreen for adding their input to make the perfect favors!

Both of these projects use Daffodil Delight and one of our newest In Colors, Wisteria Wonder. I made the cone-shaped favor using our Petal Cone Bigz L Die and the mini milk carton favor with our Milk Carton Bigz L Die. Of course, one of the best things about our Stampin' Up! exclusive Sizzix dies, is you can choose whatever color scheme you like, combine with our embellishments and you've got party favors sure to be the right touch for any occasion! Check out all our dies and if you're interested in getting them free, ask me how!

Guest Artist…Dee

Join My Team/ Paper crafting/ People/ Projects/ Stamping

One of the reasons I love being a Stampin' Up! Demo, is all the friends I've made! One of my special friends is Dee! Dee came to a class I was teaching at our local scrapbook store several years ago. She  loved to create handmade cards as much as I do and we clicked right away. Within a few months she had joined the Stampin' Up! family! In addition to holding her own events, she participates in one of my monthly stamp clubs. She has fallen in love with our Easter Blossoms Stamp Set and she brought cards and tags for each club member last month. Here is the one I chose.

I love the monochromatic look to this embellishment she created using Poppy Parade, one of our current In Colors. Notice how the Designer Series paper and ribbon matches perfectly…one of the best things about our products!
