How Do I Fix My Stampin’ Up! Punch?

Tips, Tricks, & Techniques/ Tuesday Tips/ Videos

The customer question I'm most often asked is “How do I fix my Stampin' Up! punch?”

I enlisted the help of Dave, my Stamp Slave and he's recorded a few videos; here's the one on fixing the locking mechanism.

Pop on over to my You Tube Channel to see the others to help you fix your Stampin' Up! punch. If you're not yet a subscriber to my channel, I invite you to join so you'll get the latest and greatest in video tutorials.

Just to whet your creative appetite with some different ideas, here are a few card ideas from some talented Stampin' Up! Demos in the UK…Michelle Last, Jan B, and I'm not sure about the third artist!

Botanicals For You Card

Announcements/ Holidays / Special Days/ Sale-A-Bration/ Stamping/ Tips, Tricks, & Techniques

I have to say, it is SO hard this year to pick my favorite Sale-A-Bration product! Are you having the same challenge?

I do love Botanicals For You, especially the large “just for you” sentiment. It works on a card, tag or a gift bag…just about for any occasion!

My main color is Rich Razzleberry, with a pop of Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette. Black rounds out my color palette. Did you notice the vellum tucked behind the black layer? It is also a free Sale-A-Bration offering, Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.

With vellum, you have to be a bit careful where you put your adhesive, it will show through. I put my SNAIL Adhesive right in the middle so when I layered the focal image on top, you can't see it.

Birthday Card Bonanza

Paper crafting/ Stamping

Tucked away in the Occasions Catalog is the Hooray It's Your Day Kit…it turns into a birthday card bonanza!!

Hooray its your day1

I had some stamping friends over yesterday and we all worked on these cards…5 each of 4 different designs.  One of the choices is a gift card holder that you can personalize with die-cut stickers included in the kit.

There are even pre-cut envelopes in 5 solid colors to match your cards: Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight.

The matching stamp set has all the perfect sayings and since it is one of our photopolymer sets, perfect placement is never a problem!

One tip…the kit comes with 2 Stampin' Spritzers to use with the card masks in the kit. I would use Stampin' Sponges instead…if you take one sponge and cut it into quarters, you'll have a perfect little section for each different color. Save your spritzers to add some “color splash” instead of over the entire card.

Spring Has Sprung…..For REAL this time???

Sale-A-Bration/ Stamping

Hello stampers…our weather here in the Dallas area has gone from snow to sunshine to hail to sunshine…MAYBE Spring is here to stay????  Let's hope for the best!!

This card uses one of my favorite colors, Calypso Coral.  The second flower is “shadow stamped” (the technique of re-stamping an image before re-inking it) to make it lighter.  This is a great way to get a lighter and darker shade of the exact same color by just using one color of ink pad!

The Flower Medallion Punch from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Catalog coordinates beautifully with the image; I just LOVE it when I can use coordinating punches or Framelits.  This punch not only coordinates with this stamp set “Crazy About You”, but it also coordinates with another stamp set in the Occasions Catalog called “Petal Potpourri”.

Stamp Sets: Crazy About You &  Simply Wonderful (from Sale-A-Bration)**

Cardstock:  Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Whisper WhiteDesigner Series Paper:  Best Day Ever (SAB)**

Ink Pads: Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi

Accessories:  Petite Petals Punch, Flower Medallion Punch, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Basic Pearls, Best Day Ever (SAB)** ribbon, Scalloped Edge Border Punch

**if you did not happen to get these items during Sale-A-Bration…no worries!! Select another coordinating Designer Series Paper and ribbon…there are many from which to choose!! 🙂

Hope you like this card; to purchase any of these supplies, please visit my online store.

Mojo Monday Sketch and Challenge

Mojo Monday/ Paper Pumpkin

Hello stampers! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to roll with a new challenge!

For today's Mojo Monday Sketch and Challenge, instead of a card I created,  I wanted to share some great little note cards my downline Tracy made with Stampin' Up!'s February Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I just love the simplicity of her cards; wouldn't these make a great gift, put inside the little card boxes that came in the Pumpkin kit?

Can't wait to see what you all come up with…remember to email me your work so I can post and brag on you, too,  here on the blog!
