Buttons are one of the most popular embellishments to use in your scrapbooks. They are easy to apply to your layouts and give an extra bit of "pop". I use buttons all the time, both for my handmade cards and scrapbook pages. Stampin' Up! has so many different buttons, both in our 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog and our Occasions Mini Catalog. This page sample is found on page 100 of the IBC and uses various buttons and brads to jazz up the page.
Here are a few tips to consider when using buttons in your albums: the easiest way to attach a button is to put a mini glue dot on the button back and then simply adhere to the page. If you want to have thread or floss on the button, simply put it through the button holes and attach with a glue dot. You can also create button holes right on the paper using a paper piercing tool, and then insert a piece of thread, ribbon or fiber through the hole and tie a knot.
