If you thought Crystal Effects (101055) was just for embellishing any image with a high-gloss finish, think again! In today's technique I'll show you how to have this amazing product in any color you choose!
Pour a quarter-sized amount of Crystal Effects into a small container. I use the lid of an empty brad or button container. Add one or two drops of a re-inker of your choice. In my sample below I used one drop of Elegant Eggplant. Mix with a toothpick.
Use the same toothpick to transfer one or more "droplets" onto your stamped image (I used one of the flower images from the stamp set, "Raining Flowers" (122765-wood, 122767-clear). Use a dabbing motion rather than spreading your colored Crystal Effects. Let your image dry thoroughly and then cut out and use as desired to complete your project. If you have any questions on this technique or the project I've shown, feel free to contact me.
One more tip; Crystal Effects is a fabulous adhesive…it dries totally clear! I've used it to adhere half marbles to magnets for my refrigerator and it also works great adhering chipboard to your handmade cards or 3D projects.
See you tomorrow! I'll be featuring a project using "faux wood grain".
