Did you know that you can use your Sizzix Big Shot Die Cut Machine to create the most beautiful embossed cards? I have always loved this technique but did not like to drag out my light table and templates. Now I don't have to! I just get out my Big Shot and my favorite Embossing Folders and I can create simple, yet stunning embossed cards in a flash! Here is one of the cards we will be making at my Christmas Card Class later this week. That class is full, but I have three more sessions coming up (will different cards). Click the Classes link at the top of my blog and you can get all the details and also sign up.
Here are a couple of fun things to try with your embossing folders:
You can use the folder "backwards" which will give you the look of letterpress. And, the inside of your card will "pop" since the image will be embossed on the inside of your card.
Once you have your embossed paper, try rubbing over it gently with your White or Vanilla Craft Pad. This will give you a "vintage" or "antiqued" look. Remember this particular type of ink takes a bit longer to dry so either use your heat tool or set aside to make sure not to smear the ink.
