Our family celebrates Easter by starting the day at church (for us, Easter is the day everything changed over 2000 years ago when Jesus rose from the grave and made it possible for all of us to one day share eternity in God's presence) and then usually going out to eat, finishing up with an egg hunt for the grandkids. Today, we changed things up a bit!
After church, instead of going out to eat, Poppa, alias Dave the Stamp Slave (he really is multi-talented) cooked up a breakfast feast with scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Okay, I actually made the biscuits and cinnamon rolls so I could say I did something…lol.
While Dave was cooking, the little ones hunted for their eggs and tore into their baskets. Our littlest "hunter" is two and it was so much fun to watch the joy on her face as she found each egg. Of course the 10 and 6 year olds enjoyed getting their candy-filled eggs as well.
After the kids left, I spent the rest of my day creating the projects for my Thursday night Technique Class and other upcoming events. If you haven't subscribed to my newsletter, be sure to do so on the left-hand side of the blog. Dave and I will be leaving in a few weeks for our Alaskan Cruise, all expenses paid by Stampin' Up!, and there will be a special promotion while we are gone just for my newsletter subscribers!
