Hey stampers! We are back from Spain, jet lag is gone, and the rush of holiday happenings has begun! Not sure how I will accomplish everything on my LONG to do list. But, that's OK; one step at a time! Today I wanted to give you a few tips that will take your holiday cards “From Ordinary to Extraordinary”.
First, using your favorite embossing folder on the envelope will have even your postal carrier talking about your creativity!
Absolutely any folder will do and this technique will make sure yours is one of the first cards opened!
Another fun way to jazz up an envelope is to stamp on the outside. Coordinating the card with its envelope adds a bit of charm for sure.
One tidbit I've learned from my postal employee friends; make sure you don't stamp anything all along the bottom edge of the front of the envelope. This could interfere with the USPS bar coding system and get your card returned. You don't want THAT to happen for sure!
Use an embossing folder that coordinates with your card theme. In this card, the folder used gives some “snow texture” to the little guy.
Another fun idea is to use a bit of washi tape to add some color and pop to your card. Washi tape is so easy to use and it is quite economical, too!
I hope these little tips will help you take your cards from ordinary to extraordinary this year! If you have some tried and true tips you'd like to share, post them as a comment here. I'm sure we all can benefit!
