Friendships, Fun, Financial Opportunities
My family includes my husband Dave, (affectionately named “The Stamp Slave” by a group of my most loyal customers), our son Josh, his wife Margie, their three kids (and my grandcherubs!) Will, Samantha ANNE, and Maggie, our daughter Ashley and her husband, Rob, their daughter, Landry and her baby sister, ???, who will make her appearance this year in early December! We have lived in California, Connecticut, and now, for the past 22 years, in Texas.
I began my stamping journey 18 years ago in 2003 and I had no idea at the time where this would lead. I always loved doing crafty projects so when I was invited to one of “those” Stampin' Up! home parties I went. I was in heaven and I wanted to purchase everything I saw in the catalog…can you relate? I decided to “become a demonstrator” to get the discount.
Fast forward to 2020, and I am a full time demonstrator, loving what I do. I get to teach people how much fun stamping can be. Rather than just stamping for my friends and family, I teach others how to do the same. It is very fun and so rewarding. There are great perks with what I do. One of my favorite things is helping new stampers discover and develop their creativity. I also enjoy helping other demonstrators in my group reach their goals and achieve more than they thought possible. I have teachers, former engineers, other career professionals and quite a few stay at home moms on my team. We have the best time working and learning together.
A few years back I started offering online classes and events. This has allowed me to make so many new friends all over the world and share my love of stamping! Since Covid19 has quarantined so many, I am so thankful my online business has allowed me to keep engaging with other kindred crafters!
My husband and I have been able to go on many exciting trips because of Stampin' Up! Even though I do have another full-time job, the income we receive because I said “yes” to attending a home party all those years ago, has certainly allowed us flexibility we would not otherwise have.
I am so blessed by the friendships, fun trips and financial opportunities that Stampin' Up! has provided! Truly, who knew that one little red rubber stamp would start my amazing journey!
