Today I have a project to show that paper crafting is more than just cardmaking! My company Christmas party is coming in a week, and I'm making the “table tents”. I wanted them to be simple, yet classy.
The Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper (DSP)by Stampin' Up! worked beautifully!
Project Instructions/Measurements
First, I took a piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ Basic White Thick cardstock to create my card base. I used the “Subtle” Embossing Folder to add a bit of texture. My DSP pattern is cut to 3″ x 4″. I like to use a dimension that will maximize the pieces I get out of one sheet of DSP. I adhered this to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, I wrapped a 12″ piece of 1 1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the DSP and snipped off the ends. Top layer is a piece of 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Basic Grey cardstock. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to add this piece on top of the DSP. Finally, I used my “retired” number dies to cut the table numbers from silver foil.
That's it! Can you think of a way that paper crafting is more than just cardmaking? I'd love to hear how you are crafting during the holidays…share in a comment below!
