Hey Stampers! Today is a sobering day; it doesn't seem possible 16 years have passed since the horrible events of September 11, 2001. Today I wanted to remember fallen heroes with Loyal & True sample.
This card was made by my friend Karen Finkle, who is a demonstrator in N. Ft. Myers, Florida. Karen's husband, Perry, valiantly served in Vietnam and is currently battling cancer. This sweet couple has sacrificed so much and I wanted to publicly thank them and showcase some of Karen's work. (side note: they are directly in the path of Hurricane Irma and can't evacuate because of Perry's treatment; they would appreciate your prayers).
Grateful doesn't begin to say enough of how thankful I am to live here. I thank God every day for the men and women who faithfully serve whether in our military at home and around the world, or as first responders who selflessly act in emergencies, such as the horrific events of 9/11. My husband worked as a paramedic for years and was first on the scene to many accidents and other emergencies. We vividly remember living through the October 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake in California; he running calls and me at home with the kids.
So, please join me today in thanking someone you know who faithfully serves. And, I thought it would be appropriate to include this wonderful song by Lee Greenwood.
Thanks for stopping by today and helping me to Remember Fallen Heroes With Loyal & True. I'll see you tomorrow with a Double Embossing Technique Dragonfly Dreams sample!
