Same Stampin' Blends Different Look – Coloring Techniques. Happy Saturday Stampers! I've been working on samples today that show some coloring techniques and tips using Stampin' Up!'s Alcohol Markers, Stampin' Blends.
Both samples were done with light and dark Blends in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. The one on the right was stamped on Whisper White cardstock and the one on the left with Sahara Sand. Notice the subtle difference? The Sahara Sand is a more fibrous cardstock so the ink in the markers soaks in a bit more. The colors also look darker, even though I colored both images in the same manner. I like to start with the lighter color first and the lay down my darker shade when I want more contrast. You could easily do it the opposite way if you prefer.
Take a look at my video on Facebook and you'll see a few more tips.
