Treat Holder Or Handmade Card?

Hi! Welcome back – here's the  treat holder I promised yesterday. Of course, ANYTHING is better with chocolate in my world, but you could always put a special note in the pocket instead of candy and…voila! A handmade card that anyone would want to receive!

For this project, cut a piece of Real Red Card Stock to 10 3/4 inches x 3 5/8 inches. Then score at 5 1/4 inches x 8 7/8 inches. Fold the score line that is closest to the middle first, and then fold the other piece down; this creates the front flap. Use a decorative border punch along the flap to create a pretty edge. I used the ScallopTrim  Border Punch.

Cut a piece of patterned paper to 3 1/8 inch x 3 1/2 inch. I used More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper from our Spring Catalog.Using your favorite adhesive (SNAIL here), adhere to the front under the flap. Tie a 10 inch piece of ribbon (I used Primrose Petals 3/8 inch Satin Ribbon) around the flap and finish off with a sentiment.

You can use adhesive on the sides, but I just let the ribbon hold it all together.

Insert your candy or "love note" and you're done!

Will you make this as a handmade card or treat holder? Leave me a comment!
