Tuesday Technique – Versamark Versatility

If you haven't discovered the Versamark Pad, it is one of the best "secret weapons" of stamping and helps you create beautiful handmade cards. With this one pad, you can do so many different things, including many scrapbooking techniques.

Watermark: Using the Versamark Pad to stamp an image on cardstock will leave a pretty watermark. This is the most dramatic on the darker papers, but can also be a very pretty, suble effect on lighter colors.

Poppin' Pastels: Stamp your image with the Versamark Pad and then gently rub a cotton ball that has been loaded with Stampin' Pastels over the image. Instantly you will see the image "pop out" at you.

Reverse Pastels: Apply Stampin' Pastels to your cardstock and then stamp your image using the Versamark Pad right onto the pastels. The "stickiness" of the Versamark Pad will lift off the chalk where the stamp has touched.

Regular embossing: Stamp your image with the Versamark Pad onto the cardstock, pour on your embossing powder and heat the image using your Heat Tool.

Stamp Pad Embossing: Stamp your image with the Versamark Pad and then immediately into any one of your Classic Ink Pads and then onto cardstock. Pour clear embossing powder over the image and then heat. This technique is one of my favorites since it gives you so many possibilities with all of our fabulous colors!

If you'd like to have a private class to explore any of these techniques, just drop me a note and we'll pick a date that works best for you!
