Here is my twist on the paper flowers that have been circulating around. I've seen pansies and posies and I wanted to do something a little different…I call mine "Petal Pizazz"!
Using a scrap of Melon Mambo Card Stock, I punched out one piece using our Scallop Punch and a second piece using our Fancy Flower Punch. I crinkled up the flowers several times, sprayed both with water from a little spray bottle, and then crinkled again. Once dry I sprayed with a mixture of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and a few drops of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and let dry again.
I then carefully started peeling apart the paper on each flower and made two layers. Then, using my Paper Piercer, I made a hole in the center of both flowers and put together using a large vanilla brad. I manipulated each layer until I got the flower to look the way I wanted. Lastly, what's a flower without a leaf or two, so I used a scrap of Old Olive Card Stock and punched out a flower using our Five Petal Punch. I snipped off 2 of the petals and adhered to my flower. I put my bloom on top of a small die cut box crafted with our Sizzix Big Shot Die Cut Machine.
Now all I need is a little gift to go into the box and I'm ready for a party!
