My family and I went out to DFW Airport this morning to welcome home a flight filled with soldiers coming home from Afghanistan and Iraq. My husband Dave, a veteran himself, had gone out last week so the kids and I wanted to go too. Words can not express the feeling of being able to give our thanks to these men and women who defend our freedom. Our young grandchildren were able to go too and the nine year old shook a lot of hands! I never realized that the airport here at DFW and also in Atlanta, GA. have people meeting flights every day of the year for soldiers either returning for home leave or for good. My customers and I make cards for the troops so this was a blessing to be able to actually shake the hands of some!
