Have you created the perfect Valentines Day card, ready to add the finishing touch of faux stitching, only to find……AAAHHHH…a clogged gel pen???!!!!
I have and it is NO fun. Here is a tip you might find helpful to save your gel pen from a trip to the trash can, AND help you deliver your “Heart Day” cards on time.
Dip the clogged pen point into a container of hot water for at least one minute, swirling the water gently with the pen. This will loosen dried or thickened ink from the pen's point ball. Remove the pen from the water, and using only light pressure, make several slow strokes with the pen point onto a paper towel. When the gel ink starts to feed through the point, stop. Use normal pressure to draw several lines and circles on scratch paper. The ink should flow evenly and freely. If it does not, repeat the steps for immersion in hot water and clearing the clog on the paper towel until the ink flows properly.
I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know how this works for you. 🙂
