I'm participating in a swap with Christmas gift tags and I wanted to do something a little "out of the box". I had a couple rolls of Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon and I wanted to see if I could incorporate this into my tag. I thought this might be a bit challenging since Daffodil Delight is not a color I normally think of for Christmas. But I was pleasantly surprised!
I got out my Color Coach and started browsing through the color palettes. I settled on Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip. Early Espresso also works well. (That Color Coach is just the greatest thing since sliced bread!)
I used my Top Note die and my Big Shot die cut machine to create the die cut shapes that you see in the picture. Then I ran the Real Red piece through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I used the Dasher stamp set and added 8 or 9 inches of gold elastic cord for tying the finished tag onto the gift. Of course, I had to add just a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to make the little snowflakes pop!
Easy Peasy!
What kinds of Christmas tags have you come up with? Email me pictures of your work so that I can share it with everyone!
