Mothers Against Drug Influences, M.A.D.I., was started by my friend Deenie, whose daughter Madison passed away on July 31, 2011. As a mom and grandmother, I cannot imagine anything worse than losing a child. So many of Deenie's friends have reached out and are doing things to help.
I am having an online fundraising event the first 2 weeks of October, as well as an event you can attend on October 22, 2011 at Priceless Memories Scrapbooking Retreat in Wylie from 9:30 – 12:30. I will be donating my profits from sales and there will also be raffles for both events as well as a cardmaking activity on October 22nd at the Wylie event. October 1 is World Card Making Day and this upcoming month is a great time to gather, share our love for making handmade cards, and help out this worthy cause as well!
