STAMP FLASH: Mini crates taking over; my stamp room today, that is. The Wood Crate Framelit, new to our 2017-2018 catalog, has quickly become one of my favorite dies. Since it's been raining here all day, I've been able to stay in my jammies and create bunches of these fun little crates. I used the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper for these:
You can use any paper or colors to create the perfect party favor or gift. Here are some of the ones I created using the June Paper Pumpkin Kit for an upcoming team party to celebrate our best sales month ever:
These little crates are so easy to put together. You'll need to cut out 2 of the crate pieces. For the ones where I used Designer Series Paper, I cut my 12″ paper into 4″ strips and cut two crate pieces out of each strip. You'll get three crates out of a full sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper.
Of course, with Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper (DSP), you can choose either side to use for your crate! You can also use solid cardstock as I did with the watermelon crates above.
It's quite easy to put your crate together. You start as shown in the picture on left, then layer one crate piece over the other, as shown on the right with the blue crate. Since the DSP is fairly thin, regular SNAIL Adhesive works just fine to assemble. If you use our regular, solid colored cardstock, Tear & Tape Adhesive is a better alternative for assembling.
Tip: it's easiest to cut a bunch of crate pieces out all at once and then you can assemble later.

I hope you, too, will soon be gleefully shouting in your stamp/craft room…mini crates are taking over! 🙂
