One Fun Fold Makes Two Different DIY Cards

My customers tell me all the time they “aren't creative”. Does that sound like you? I want to show you how one fun fold makes two different DIY cards!  The best part is, you'll not only solve your challenge that you “aren't creative” (YOU ARE), you won't use any extra supplies. Ready to see my cards?

DIY card using fun fold

Aren't these fun?! I actually used one of the new Designer Series Paper Packs from the Stampin' Up!® 2022 January – June Mini Catalog, New Horizons. This 6″ x 6″ pack is filled with so much versatility and exquisite patterns. I bought two since I wanted to make sure I didn't run out!

So, check out this video and  see up close and personal how one Fun Fold makes two different DIY Cards. Leave me a comment and let me know which card you like best!

Measurements for Z Fold Cards in video:

Card #1: Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″;

If you have trouble remembering these measurements just remember, fold cardstock in half once then fold the front out in half again. This is what you’ll end up with whether you measure or just do the fold in half method. What you end up with is sort of a backwards Z. You can actually do this fold with any size cardstock. Just fold your piece in half, then in half again.

Right panel: 4” x 2 7/8”-leaves a 1/8” white border peeking through around it

Left panel : 4” x 2 ½”

Plenty of room inside for a message AND you can add a gift card on the left side by using some temporary adhesive or even a few glue dots.

Card #2: Z Fold Easel card starts the same way, 4 ¼” x 11”, fold it the same way but we’ll make one little change-instead of doing our second fold to the outside, we’ll do it to the inside to create an easel fold. In the video you'll see how I use a sentiment, popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, to create the “easel” part.
