Oh my….I'm trying to wrap my head around this new Pokemon Go phenomenon. My soon to be 16 year old grandson was really into Pokemon cards when he was younger but that was the extent of my interest.
But, when I noticed my Facebook feed going bonkers with people chasing Pokemon, this is where my interest really peaked!
You see, this game has special places (monuments) that you can collect poke balls and things. Might be restaurants, churches…even at a museum! You can also buy “lures” that will cause people to congregate near you; makes for some great people watching and it’s getting kids to MOVE. Yes, they might still have their cell phones, video games, and tablets… but at least they are outdoors. They are communicating and having fun with other folks …it can't all be bad!
There are so many horrible things going on in the world today that when I see happiness exuding from people around me because of a silly app…well, it makes ME happy!! To be able to connect it with crafting (my VERY happy place)…pure joy!
Here are a couple of samples of things you can do with Stampin' Up! circle punches to make birthday cards, invitations to send to people who are hooked on Pokemon Go; if you need any help, I'm just a chat away!
