Here's the recipe I promised…if any of you local blog followers make a batch, I'll be glad to come over and make sure they taste okay…:-) (Credit for recipe goes to my co-worker Jenny).
2 oz of dark choc. (I use the dark choc chips)
1/2 cup of butter
Melt these two till they are mixed together ( microwave)
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
1 1/2 tsp of red food coloring
2 large eggs
Beat these together till smooth. Mix in choc mixture. Then slowly beat in 2/3 cup of all purpose flour till all dry ingredients are gone and it is smooth.
Pre-heat oven to 350. Then lay a piece of wax paper in bottom of square baking dish. (This makes it easier to remove from pan once done and no pan to clean)
Pour on wax paper in square dish and smooth out flat layer.
1 8 oz cream cheese (room temp)
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
Beat ingredients together till smooth. Add in about 8 dollops on top of red brownie mix. Take butter knife and swirl. Place in oven for 30-40 min. Let sit for about 10 min and place in freezer till cool. (This will keep all your cakes and brownies moist.)
