Hey Stampers! If you're like I am, you are always looking for ways to take some of the “stress” out of the holidays and return some ho-ho-ho, instead of OH NO! Today I'll share 5 tips and then follow up with 5 more on Wednesday!
Tip #1: Shop Online! Shopping malls can be absolutely craazzy this time of year! To avoid this, try to shop online. You'll save energy and frustration and you'll be able to get everything wrapped in plenty of time! If for some reason your “perfect gift” is out of stock, at least you'll know it's coming and you can think of a clever way to wrap up a picture or representation of the gift to give the recipient.
Tip #2: Ship items directly to your gift recipients. If you have friends on the other side of the U.S. or perhaps in another country, or even if you’re planning on buying gifts online for someone near you, try shipping the item directly to your recipient's address! Many websites even let you to ship items with gift wrapping and an individualized message!
Tip #3: Plan in advance how you'll be getting home from your holiday celebrations! To make sure you and your friends stay safe, plan out ahead of time how you will all get home that night, whether it be by designated driver, taxi, or ride-sharing services like Lyft or Uber. If you know that you and your friends will be getting home safely, you can celebrate stress-free!
Tip #4: Plan in some “down time” and enjoy a cup of herbal tea! AND maybe a sweet treat or two(sugar fuels the body you know!) to keep your computer typing strength in good order! 🙂
Tip#5: If you are traveling to visit friends and/or family, arrange to travel at non-peak times if possible. Take the red eye flight when lines will be shorter and getting through security will be easier. If you’re driving, don’t hit the highway right at rush hour if you can avoid it. Also, some major highways choose the middle of the night to work on construction projects, so use traffic apps to anticipate any bumper to bumper construction traffic and take alternative routes to get you to your destination without avoidable delays.
Pop back in on Wednesday when I'll share 5 more tips!
