Hey stampers! In today's post I wanted to answer a question I've been getting a lot from my customers. What's Wrong With My Quilt Top Embossing Folder? The answer is NOTHING! Let me explain the question and I'll give you my answer.
Customer Question: Anne, I just opened my new Stampin' Up! Quilt Top Embossing Folder (EF) and noticed that the design inside the folder is not centered (side to side). On the left side of the EF there is about 1/8″ open space before the design starts. However, on the right edge of EF, the design ends right up on the edge of the folder. Because the design is not centered, you have to fiddle with the CS to get it lined up before running through the Big Shot when using a larger piece of paper. Is there something wrong with my folder?
Answer: NO, there is definitely nothing wrong with your Embossing Folder! It was designed so you could get a continuous pattern on larger paper without the creased edge that happens when it is centered. Simply run the paper through, then rotate the previously embossed paper 180 degrees and run it through the Big Shot a second time. You'll get a continuous pattern without the creased edge. (You won't have this problem when embossing a regular-sized card or card layer.)

Voila! A perfect patterned piece to use on a larger card or project, with no pesky ridge in the center:
