You Are Loved Saturday Share

Hey Stampers! I just had to take a break from working on taxes so what do I do? I stamp, of course! I wanted to use my Stampin' Blends markers to see how they work with the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can still get this paper as a free item for the next few weeks during Sale-A-Bration. It was perfect for my You Are Loved Saturday Share.

I colored in one of the foil flowers using my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends and then used the Old Olive Blends to finish it off. I used the light Pumpkin Pie marker first, then came back in on a couple of petals with the dark and went over again with the light to create the marbled look on the flower.  I did the same thing on  the leaves, using the Old Olive Blends.

I did “fussy cut” this flower. Another idea would be to cut out as a square, and mount on a slightly larger piece of coordinating cardstock. I usually use my Blends markers on Whisper White or Shimmer White paper but I was happy with this result, too. It's always fun to experiment, right?
