A recurring question from my customers is, “How do I keep my acrylic plates for my Big Shot from warping”? Is there any “trick” or do I just have to replace them?
Well, I have good news! Here are a couple tips you might find useful:
a. Rotate your plates often; this will help prevent them from bending too quickly.
b. If plates do become warped, pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees, wrap your plates in aluminum foil and place on a cookie sheet. Put a heavy baking dish on top, making sure that the dish completely covers your plates. Bake them in the oven for about 30 minutes and then remove. Let them cool, unwrap, and you will be surprised when you see flat plates once again!
c. I usually keep a “spare” pair so when the ones I'm currently using either will not flatten out or just become too grooved, I will have another set ready to go. If you use both the regular and extended pads, have a set of each on hand…after all, it IS Sale-A-Bration time and this purchase would have you well on your way to a $50 order and a free SAB item!
