It's Dave the Stamp Slave tonight. Anne is holding our Business Meeting so I thought I'd relate a few things to you that Anne told me about the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle trip.
The Business Meeting, or 'Downline Meeting', is something we do monthly to support our team. We make time for recognition and encouragement, prizes, discussion of business issues, exchange of ideas, Q&A, and more. There is always a swap for those who want to participate, and time for socializing. Did I mention FOOD??? There are usually a few goodies to be had too, (non-fattening, of course… HA!).
Anne was completely pampered at the Founder's Circle retreat. They took over the entire hotel for 4 days to take care of these ladies! If you wanted to stay in your jammies for the whole time, that was OK! More on that another day…
As Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, we are all business owners and work for ourselves, but we represent a great company in Stampin' Up!. When the group toured the manufacturing facility in Kanab, Utah, Anne got to talk with several of the employees. There were people who had been there for 10, 11, even more than 15 years! They said they wouldn't want to work anywhere else.
Here are a couple of pictures showing just one of Stampin' Up!'s civic activities.
In the first picture, Anne and Audra, another demo on the trip, are at a local kid's playground. The stuff on the ground is the waste rubber from the stamp manufacturing process. Stampin' Up! donates all of it to local cities for their parks and the kids get the benefit. Pretty great!
