One of the techniques I love to teach is the “rock and roll” technique. Usually, I use two colors. I stamp an image with a light color and then “roll” the edges of the stamp in a darker color and then stamp onto cardstock.
For the pumpkins in this card, a rock and roll technique with three (wowzer!) ink colors (Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, and Pumpkin Pie), then water spritzing on the stamp before stamping on Watercolor Paper gives an even more appealing look. Coordinating Framelits cut out each image and the same spritzing technique on the leaves using Mossy Meadow ink really gives a washed out watercolored look.
One of the coolest things about this technique is that the results are never the same…you always get a different look!
If you use this technique on any of your fall cards, please send me a sample; I'd love to feature you as a guest artist here on my blog!
