You know those great sales that offer two for the price of one? Well, today is "twofer" Tuesday…two techniques for one post!
I created this little coaster frame so that I could hang this adorable picture of my daughter and grandaughter on my computer at work. The two technqiues I used are:
1. polished stone -I put some rubbing alcohol, 2-6 drops of Rose Red, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi re-inkers and a dab or two of Champagne Shimmer Paint onto a cotton ball (alcohol first, then drop on re-inkers and the shimmer paint last. Then pounce the cotton ball on a piece of glossy white card stock. Set aside to dry or you can blot on a piece of grid paper. This particular technique works well when creating backgrounds for your handmade cards.
2. ribbon dyeing – I didn't have any Wild Wasabi ribbon so i took a piece of Whisper White 3/8" satin ribbon, laid it across my Classic Ink Pad, dragged it across the ink pad several times using a small piece of a Stampin' Sponge to keep it on the pad and keep my fingers from turning a lovely shade of Wild Wasabi.
I used a greeting from the On Your Birthday stamp set, stamped with WIld Wasabi Ink onto a small piece of Rose Red card stock to complete my project. (I cut off part of the greeting since I was not using it for a birthday card).
